• Start Grails in debug mode from the command-line : grails-debug run-app

  • Set a breakpoint
  
  
  • Select Attach Debugger... from the Debug menu
    
    
    
    • Type the value 5005 into the port field of the ensuing dialog
    
    
    • Press OK
